01. Scope

This policy explains what Autograder collects when you use autograder.co.in, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data or the student records you upload.

02. What we collect

Account data: your name, email address and a hashed password, used to sign you in and hold your workspaces.
Uploads: question papers, answer keys, student answer sheets, and the student names or roll numbers you enter for the report.
Payment records: order ID, payment ID, plan and status. Card numbers, CVVs and banking passwords are handled entirely by Razorpay and never reach our servers.
Technical logs: IP address, browser, timestamps and errors, kept to keep the service running and prevent abuse.

03. How we use it

To run the grading pipeline: transcription, rubric matching and marks allocation.
To verify your identity and send account and billing emails.
To apply the usage limits of your plan.
To detect fraud and prevent abuse of the platform.

04. Student data

Student answer sheets are treated as confidential academic records. They are processed only for the grading session created by the educator who uploaded them.

We do not profile students, do not build advertising profiles, and do not use answer sheets to train public AI models.

05. Who processes data for us

Razorpay: Payments and recurring mandates, under RBI rules and PCI-DSS.
Amazon Web Services: Encrypted storage for session files and answer sheets.
OpenAI: API-based transcription and rubric evaluation.
Google: API-based rubric evaluation (Gemini) for free-trial grading.
Email provider: Account verification and password reset emails.

06. Security

Traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS.
Files and session data sit in access-restricted cloud storage.
You can delete any session and its uploads from your dashboard at any time.

07. How long we keep it

Session files and results are kept while your account is active so you can return to past grading. Deleting a session removes its files. When you close your account we delete your sessions and uploads, keeping only the transaction records we are required to retain for tax and audit purposes.

08. Cookies

We use only essential first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. No advertising or remarketing trackers are used.

09. Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your account data at any time. To request deletion or ask what we hold, email support.autograder@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
